Sheikh Jassim has privately criticised the Glazers for not investing enough in a club of Manchester United’s stature
According to the Athletic (h/t Manchester Evening News), Sheikh Jassim of the Nine Two Foundations, who are one of the hopeful of securing the ownership of Manchester United, is believed to have criticised the Glazers for the underinvestment made during the reign.
The Glazers announced in September their intentions on seeking additional investment or full sale of the ownership depending on the offers at hand.
We are almost towards the end of the month of June and there are still no clear signs about the direction in which the club will be headed come next season.
Sheikh Jassim as well as Sir Jim Radcliffe are two potential bidders among whom the next owner of the club will be decided and while none of them would want to anger the Glazers publicly at this crucial stage, Sheikh Jassim privately has raised his concerns over how the Glazers handled the functioning of the club.
Glazers have undoubtedly sucked the life out of the club, especially financially and while it used to boast of having one of the top stadiums twenty years back, we have seen our rivals invest while Old Trafford has been left to be a thing of the past.
There have been no major additions or upgrades done to the stadium, the training grounds or even the club centre. It is of major concern as rehabilitation for professionals should be seen as equally important as training.
This also gives us an insight into how different things could be if Sheikh Jassim wins the bidding war for United takeover as it could see him bring a lot of changes not just to the personnel but also to the development of the stadium and local areas around it.

It is time that a club of United’s stature has an owner who understands the value of the club and instead of sucking out the money, invests money to make it one of the best stadiums and training centres in Europe.
