Manchester United linked with a move for Benfica prodigy Joao Neves, branded ‘the next Ruben Neves’
As claimed by Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester United are said to have an interest in acquiring Benfica wonderkid Joao Neves this summer.

Having progressed through the ranks at Benfica, Neves has made 20 appearances for the senior team and has established himself as a key figure in midfield.
He has also been a regular starter for Portugal’s Under-21 national team in the European Championship, and the young midfielder showcased his skills by scoring an impressive volley against Belgium, aiding his country’s qualification for the next round.
However, there could be obstacles to the potential transfer of the Portuguese midfielder, as he recently signed a contract extension that runs until 2028. While he may not be guaranteed a starting position at United, his defensive abilities make him a potential long-term replacement for Casemiro.
The Red Devils have now turned their attention to other midfield targets after sealing Mason Mount’s transfer. United midfielders Scott McTominay and Fred could be allowed to leave Old Trafford, and we believe that Neves will be a crucial addition for the future.
