Juventus forward Federico Chiesa on Manchester United and PSG radar
Manchester United are set to battle Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the race to acquire the services of Juventus star Federico Chiesa, according to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport.
As things stand, the forward has lost his influence in the project at the Old Lady. Also, there are some unpleasant economic factors at the Bianconeri. To that end, the 25-year-old could be sold by the Serie A giants if a lucrative offer arrives.
Therefore, there is a possibility that Chiesa ends up leaving Juventus this summer. The Allianz Stadium are expected to ask for around €60 million to part ways with the Italy international.
To that end, the Red Devils and the Parisians have the forward on their radar. Premier League rivals Newcastle United, Liverpool and Aston Villa are also interested in the 25-year-old’s signature. Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have also been linked with him.
Juventus got Chiesa in the summer of 2020 from Fiorentina. His current contract at the Bianconeri runs until June 2025. After a bright start to the forward’s career in Turin, injuries have hampered his development.
The Italian national was on the sidelines for a considerable period before returning to action in the 2022/23 campaign. However, the 25-year-old mostly looked underwhelming.
At PSG, Lionel Messi has departed, leaving a vacancy up front. Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are the only two established attackers in the Parc des Princes side’s ranks. However, there is even speculation about the future of the 2018 World Cup winner at the Ligue 1 outfit.
As for Man United, we already have impressive talent on the wings. Marcus Rashford was our talisman last season. Alejandro Garnacho also broke onto the scene in fine fashion. On the left-hand side of the attack, Antony has been trusted by Erik ten Hag.

Chiesa is a promising talent. However, the 25-year-old has not been at his best since the layoff. Therefore, it would be wise for the Old Trafford side to look at other options in the market.
