Eintracht Frankfurt price tag on Randal Kolo Muani deters Manchester United
Manchester United have been deterred in their pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani due to the massive price tag Eintracht Frankfurt have set on him, according to the Mirror (h/t Metro).
The France international is valued at £86 million by Die Adler. However, the Red Devils have no intention of paying that sort of amount to acquire the forward’s services this summer.
Erik ten Hag wants to bring a new number nine to the Old Trafford side in the ongoing transfer window. To that end, the club have several names on their shortlist.
United have even held talks with the Bundesliga outfit for the 24-year-old. However, the Red Devils have decided not to proceed any further due to the German side’s demands.
Apart from the Old Trafford side, Bayern Munich also have Kolo Muani on their radar. But similarly, the Bavarians have been put off by Frankfurt’s valuation as well.
The French national enjoyed a fruitful 2022/23 campaign, scoring and setting up a decent amount of goals. Subsequently, the 24-year-old has also carved a place for himself in Didier Deschamps’ team.
At United, the front line will only be able to rely on Anthony Martial as the lone natural striking option going into next season. Wout Weghorst was signed on a short loan in January from Burnley.
Unfortunately, the former AS Monaco star was unreliable under Erik ten Hag last season. The 27-year-old was injury prone and was on the sidelines a lot. As a result, the gaffer had to call upon the Holland international a lot.

Therefore, we evidently need to add reinforcements in the number nine position this summer. Even though Kolo Muani has shown immense potential, Frankfurt are seemingly looking for a lot considering the French national has only had one good campaign under his belt.
