According to The Mirror (h/t Manchester Evening News), Leeds United are looking to sign Manchester United winger Amad Diallo on a season-long loan.

Diallo is coming off an impressive season with Sunderland and was one of the standout players of the Championship. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, Sunderland fell short of securing promotion to the Premier League.

United boss Erik Ten Hag is claimed to be happy with Diallo’s development but it remains to be seen whether he would be included in the first team for next season or be sent out on loan again.

Leeds United, who were relegated from the Premier League, and are looking to make a bounce back from the Championship are one of the contenders for the Ivorian’s signature if the club decides to send him out on loan again.

However, his former loanee club Sunderland is also keen to get the player back for another year with the hope of making it to the Premier League after missing narrowly in the playoffs this time around.

More of it will become clear post-pre-season and there is a good chance that Ten Hag integrates the forward into the first team where he can act as competition for Antony on the right wing.

At the same time, a loan move to a Premier League club rather than a Championship outfit again would make more sense for the player’s development.
