Juventus confident of securing Adrien Rabiot future amidst Manchester United interest
Serie A giants Juventus are confident about securing the future of Manchester United target Adrien Rabiot at the Allianz Stadium, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
The France international’s current contract at the Old Lady is set to expire at the end of this month. To that end, as per Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, the Red Devils have tabled a proposal to acquire his services.
However, Juventus are also trying to extend the midfielder’s existing deal. As things stand, there is ‘optimism’ regarding the 28-year-old putting pen to paper on fresh terms at the Bianconeri.
The Serie A giants hope to get the go-ahead from Rabiot in the next few days. As things stand, the Old Lady’s offer is the best one at the French national’s disposal.
Having made a name for himself at Paris Saint-Germain, the Allianz Stadium side signed the midfielder in the summer of 2019. Over the years, he has been a key player for them.
Juventus are going through a rough patch at the moment. Massimiliano Allegri’s team struggled in the previous campaign. However, the 28-year-old was their standout star. Therefore, it is understandable that the Italian outfit are looking to keep a hold of him.
However, Rabiot will not be able to play any European football at the Old Lady next season. On the other hand, Erik ten Hag led us to a third-place finish in the Premier League in the 2022/23 term.
The Dutch manager has steadied the ship at the Old Trafford side. Casemiro and Christian Eriksen were the gaffer’s got-to options in the middle of the park in his first year in charge. Unfortunately, the Red Devils lack strength in depth in the engine room.
