Kylian Mbappe plans on PSG stay this summer amidst Manchester United interest
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Kylian Mbappe is planning on staying at the Parc des Princes side this summer amidst interest from Manchester United.
The France international’s current contract with the Parisians is set to expire at the end of next season. To that end, the forward has decided not to extend his stay at the Ligue 1 outfit beyond that.
As a result, PSG are looking to cash in on Mbappe in the ongoing transfer window. The French national would be one of Sheikh Jassim’s dream targets if the Qatari were successful in his bid to acquire the Old Trafford side.
However, speaking to Telefoot (h/t Express), the 24-year-old has shot down any talk of parting ways with the Parisians. The forward is determined to stay at the Parc des Princes side for now.
“I have already said that I will stay. I have already said that long before all this happened. I only resolve to play at PSG next year. That’s what I said. There are a lot of things that happen in a year, even more so at a club like PSG.”
Mbappe is one of the best players in the world at the moment. The attacker has already won multiple league titles at PSG. In 2018, the French national also got his hands on the World Cup.
Les Bleus made it to the final in Qatar in 2022. However, despite the 24-year-old’s best efforts, scoring a hat-trick against Argentina, Didier Deschamps’ team were unable to retain the prestigious trophy.
United’s forward line had to rely on Marcus Rashford for the majority of the previous campaign. The 25-year-old was our leading goalscorer and was the only forward who was able to find the back of the net consistently for Erik ten Hag.
The Dutch manager managed to break our six-year trophy drought and ended the season on a positive note despite not being able to count on Anthony Martial. As a result, we played with Wout Weghorst up front on multiple occasions in the last few months.

Mbappe is a deadly player in the final third of the pitch. The French national’s speed and precision make him a difficult prospect for any defence to deal with. If the Old Trafford side were able to get a hold of his signature, we would evidently be better off. However, it does not look like the 24-year-old will sign for us any time soon.
