Eintracht Frankfurt are looking at potential replacements for Randal Kolo Muani, who is of interest to Manchester United
According to Frankfurter Rundschau (h/t Manchester Evening News), Eintracht Frankfurt are looking at targets to replace forward Randal Kolo Muani, who has been linked with Manchester United.
Kolo Muani has had an excellent season in the Bundesliga, scoring 23 goals and providing 14 assists while he was ever so close to bringing back the World Cup to France, having missed a goal in the last stages of the game.
He is expected to be on the move this summer and has been on United’s shortlist for some time while the player has also been scouted by the likes of FC Bayern Munich and Paris St. Germain.
It seems like Frankfurt are resigned to losing their star forward and have already started looking at the potential replacements if the Frenchman indeed leaves the club.
United will be entering the market with acquiring a top-quality forward as one of the biggest priorities of the summer transfer window.
The lack of a proper no.9 somewhat derailed our season to just a good season from being a great season and it was evident that in order for us to take the next step and compete at the top, a top-quality forward is a must.
Kolo Muani can play in the central role as well as from the wings and his signing could allow Ten Hag to field an attack based on fluidity and positional changes with the French forward and Marcus Rashford interchanging positions in between games.
The reason why Ten Hag was keen to bring in Harry Kane was because of the player’s ability to drop deep and be an extra man in the build-up. Kolo Muani could provide exactly that and his 14 assists during the course of the campaign are evidence of that.

It certainly will not be an easy fight to land Kolo Muani as many top clubs will be vying for his signature but if the club decides to not pursue Kane, then the Frankfurt star provides a very good alternate option.
