PSG to sell Kylian Mbappe after contract decision amidst Manchester United interest
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are ready to sell Kylian Mbappe in the upcoming transfer window amidst interest from Manchester United, according to L’Equipe (h/t Metro).
The France international’s current contract will expire at the end of next season. While there is an option for an additional year, the forward has informed the Parc des Princes side of his intention not to extend his stay.
As a result, if the Parisians are unable to convince the 24-year-old to put pen to paper on fresh terms, he will be able to negotiate a pre-contract with another team in January.
PSG are not happy with the decision Mbappe has taken. The Ligue 1 champions have no intention of parting ways with the 2018 World Cup winner on a free transfer and will put him on the market in the coming weeks.
Apart from United, Premier League rivals Liverpool also have the French national on their radar. European giants Real Madrid are also monitoring the forward’s situation at the Parc des Princes side.
Mbappe is one of the best players in world football. Over the years, the 24-year-old has proven his goalscoring ability for both club and country. Unfortunately, the forward has been unable to get his hands on the Champions League trophy yet.
United are slowly regaining their stature under Erik ten Hag. The Red Devils won the Carabao Cup last season, were in the FA Cup final and finished third in the Premier League, securing a UCL spot.
However, the gaffer had to rely on Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as his only natural strikers for the second half of the campaign. The Dutch manager evidently managed to get the best out of the squad he was given.

Therefore, we need to add a prolific attacker to our ranks this summer. There are few better than Mbappe in the final third of the pitch. However, whether the Old Trafford side will be able to appeal the French national remains to be seen.
