Adrien Rabiot offered Juventus contract renewal amidst Manchester United interest
Juventus have offered Adrien Rabiot a new contract ahead of the upcoming transfer window amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com.
As things stand, the French national will be a free agent in the coming weeks. His existing deal with the Bianconeri expires soon. But the Old Lady consider the midfielder a key part of their squad
To that end, the Serie A giants have put a fresh one-year extension on the table for the 28-year-old. It will see him earn €7 million net if accepted.
Now, Juventus are waiting for the decision Rabiot will make in the coming days. The midfielder also has the Red Devils as a potential next destination, with the Old Trafford side also putting a deal in front of him.
The French national has been a key player for the Old Lady since singing in the summer of 2019. However, in the 2022/23 season, the 28-year-old’s influence was immense, as he found the back of the net 11 times and provided six assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.
Rabiot also shone for Les Bleus in the 2022 World Cup. The midfielder was pivotal to Didier Deschamps’ plans as France made it to another final. But they lost to Argentina.
United signed Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer to bolster the engine room. The Brazil international has been pivotal to the Red Devils’ success over the last few months.
As for the Danish national, he started off in fine fashion. Unfortunately, towards the end of the previous campaign, the playmaker underwhelmed with his lethargic displays.
