The Red Devils have identified the England international as their number one target to bolster the attack this summer. However, Daniel Levy is adamant about keeping a hold of his talisman.

Spurs’ chairman has no intention of selling the 29-year-old to one of their direct rivals. As a result, the Manchester-based club are increasingly worried and are looking for alternatives.

Kane is set to enter the final year of his current contract at the North London side in the coming weeks. The striker is willing to part ways with the Lilywhites ahead of next season.

The English skipper is valued at over £80 million, which United are open to spending on him. However, European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also interested in the 29-year-old. But the forward would like to stay in the Premier League.

Tottenham has heavily relied on Kane to consistently find the back of the net over the last few years. In the 2022/23 season, the English national shouldered the burden of Spurs’ attack. But the North London side failed to win any major silverware and are left without any European football.

As for United, Erik ten Hag has managed to turn things around in a short span of time. We ended our six-year trophy drought with the Carabao Cup win. The Red Devils were also in the FA Cup final but lost to Manchester City. In the league, the Dutch manager led us to a third-placed finish.

However, the gaffer had limited tools at his disposal in the previous campaign. Anthony Martial was injured for most of the season, while in January, the former Ajax head coach was handed the services of Wout Weghorst to cover for the French national’s absence.

Kane has been prolific in the English top flight for some time now. We could evidently do with someone like him in our ranks. But will Levy’s resolve soften in the coming weeks? Only time will tell.
