Federico Chiesa open to Juventus exit amidst Manchester United interest
Juventus star Federico Chiesa is open to leaving the Serie A giants this summer amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Il Corriere dello Sport via the Daily Mail (h/t The Sun).
As things stand, the Italy international’s future at the Bianconeri is uncertain. A number of Premier League teams have been linked with a move for the forward over the years.
Now, the 25-year-old is receptive to the idea of parting ways with the Old Lady and joining a new club. He is ‘unhappy’ at the Turin-based club due to a lack of importance.
Unfortunately, English top-flight rivals Liverpool are leading the race to acquire Chiesa’s services. Newcastle United also have him on their radar alongside Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
The Italian is set to be available for around £30 million in the upcoming transfer window. Back in January, the Old Trafford side and the Merseysiders were eyeing him.
Juventus got the forward back in 2020 from Fiorentina. After an impressive debut campaign in Turin, the 25-year-old saw his progress halted due to an injury, leading to an 11-month layoff.
United’s left wing is blessed with decent talent. Marcus Rashford was the Red Devils’ talisman in the 2022/23 campaign. Since Erik ten Hag’s arrival, he has shouldered the burden of our attack.
Alejandro Garnacho has also broken onto the scene at the Old Trafford side. The Argentine national has put in some clutch performances for the Manchester-based club over the last few months and established himself in the gaffer’s plans.

Chiesa has not been the same since his lengthy spell on the sidelines. The Italian is a talented player, but it remains to be seen to what extent the injury has affected him. Therefore, for now, United seemingly do not need a player of the 25-year-old’s profile.
