Manchester United midfielder Casemiro urges the club to sign quality players in the summer window
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro wants the club to spend big in the summer transfer window and add quality players to the squad.
United lost the FA Cup final to Manchester City on Saturday in a game that showed the vast difference in the quality of both squads.
While the Red Devils did as much as they could, City’s depth of quality all over the pitch and the bench was too much to handle.

Here’s what Casemiro said while urging the club to sign quality players in the coming transfer window (h/t Mirror):
“When top-class players come in, quality players, it’s always welcome. We always want quality players and it’s always the case that the more options you have, it’s important to have as much quality in the squad as you can. But us players know that there are people who have the knowledge to do that.”
Anthony Martial missing the cup final due to an injury really epitomised his season and time at the club – inconsistent availability and performance levels. Wout Weghorst, who was signed on loan in January, came on and made zero impact.
It shows that United must do everything to sign a striker in the transfer window. Harry Kane and Rasmus Hojlund are on their radar. Getting one would be great, let alone both.

At the back, David de Gea showed signs of vulnerability on Saturday and must be replaced in the market. The latest is that the Red Devils are ahead in the race to Porto stopper Diogo Costa.
Erik ten Hag might want to add a central midfielder to the squad as well. The club are hoping to wrap the Mason Mount deal by the end of the week. Will the Englishman be converted into an attacking number eight by the boss? Possibly so.
