Gabri Veiga ‘will not continue’ at Celta Vigo amidst Manchester United interest
Manchester United target Gabri Veiga ‘will not continue’ at Celta Vigo next season and is expected to part with the club in the coming months, according to AS via Sport Witness (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Spain U21 international will leave the La Liga outfit in the upcoming transfer window. As things stand, the youngster is ‘open to all options’.
With his performances in the current campaign, the 21-year-old has caught the eye of a number of teams in Europe. The midfielder has received interest from the Red Devils as well as Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.

Veiga made his way through the youth ranks at Celta. The youngster has broken onto the scene in the current campaign and has established himself in the Vigo-based club’s starting lineup.
At the moment, the La Liga outfit are just one point above the relegation zone with one game to go in the league. Despite their struggles, the 21-year-old has shone, finding the back of the net nine times and providing four assists in 35 appearances in the Spanish top flight.
As things stand, Veiga has a contract at Celta that runs until June 2026 (transfermarkt). However, the youngster’s deal has a relatively affordable £34 million release clause in it.
Understand the release clause for Gabri Veiga is €40m. The only way to sign the player from Celta Vigo, at the moment. 🔵✨ #transfers

No club has triggered clause or agreed terms with Veiga yet. It’s still open.

United reinforced their engine room last summer with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. The two have been influential for Erik ten Hag at the Old Trafford side this season.
However, they turned 31 in February. Fred is also 30 years old, while Scott McTominay has been at the club for several years now but has been unable to make a mark.
