Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane coy on transfer speculations amidst Manchester United links
Harry Kane, who plays for Tottenham Hotspur, gave a coy reply when asked about the speculation surrounding his future amidst links to Manchester United.
Ahead of the upcoming transfer window, the England international is being eyed by the Red Devils. Erik ten Hag is keen on adding the 29-year-old to his ranks at the Old Trafford side next summer.
But speaking to BT Sports (h/t Manchester Evening News) after the 4-1 win over Leeds United, Kane acknowledged the talks regarding a move away from Tottenham. However, the striker is not bothered about it.
“It is part and parcel of being a footballer [speculation about leaving] especially when you are at the top of your game. I have focused on this season and helping the team as much as possible. I am just looking forward to a nice break and some games with England.”
Spurs played their final game of the season against Sam Allardyce’s team on Sunday (28 May). The English skipper got on the scoresheet twice as the North London side beat the Peacocks.
Kane has once again been reliable for the North London side in the current campaign. He has found the back of the net 30 times and has provided three assists in 38 appearances in the English top flight.
Unfortunately, the England international has not enjoyed the best of seasons at Tottenham. The North London side have finished eighth in the league table. Also, they have gone another year without a trophy.

United ended their PL campaign with a 2-1 win over Fulham. We will be in the Champions League next season and still have the FA Cup final to look forward to after clinching the Carabao Cup.
Unfortunately, Ten Hag has not had a quality number nine at his disposal at the Old Trafford side. The Red Devils have had to rely on the likes of Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst in the last few months. But the French national has been injury prone since the Dutch manager’s arrival.
