Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag promises the fans to give everything to beat Manchester City in the FA Cup Final
Speaking to the fans at Old Trafford after the final whistle in the Fulham game, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has promised everyone to give everything to win the FA Cup by beating Manchester City in the final.
United finished their league campaign on a positive note by beating Fulham 2-1 and confirming their third-place finish in the table.
Now the job is to stop the neighbours in their treble track and win the cup double in the process. The final against City is going to be one for the ages at Wembley on Saturday.
Here’s what ten Hag said while thanking the fans for their support throughout the season (h/t BBC):
“I want to thank you all. We felt a really strong bond throughout the season at Old Trafford and also away.
“But as I say these words there is still one game to go. I am sure these players will give everything to beat Manchester City next week at Wembley.”
To add to the positive feeling, before the Fulham game, the boss confirmed that Antony’s injury isn’t serious and the Brazilian could be in contention to play the cup final.
With how good the former Ajax winger has been in the last few weeks, him starting on the right-hand side against City would be beneficial for United to start counterattacks.
Irrespective of what happens on Saturday, the United fans must be happy with the level of progress witnessed this season under ten Hag. We have to remember that this was his first year in charge of this team.

The more he spends time and gets the necessary backing in the transfer market, the better this team will become in the coming years. It won’t be an overstatement to say that the Red Devils are a very good transfer window away from challenging City for the Premier League title. That’s how good ten Hag’s first season impressions have been. More to come after Saturday as well!
