Bayer Leverkusen set €50 million price tag on Jeremie Frimpong amidst Manchester United interest
Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen have set a €50 million price tag on Jeremie Frimpong amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Bild via Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The Holland national is on the radar of the Red Devils ahead of next summer. But considering the youngster’s talent and potential, it is understandable that the German side want a considerable fee for him in the upcoming transfer window.
As things stand, the Old Trafford side have made contact with the Black and Reds regarding the availability of the 22-year-old.
Frimpong signed for Leverkusen in the winter window of 2021. In the current campaign under Xabi Alonso, the right-back has caught a lot of people’s attention. United manager Erik ten Hag is keen to add the youngster to his ranks.
At the moment, the 22-year-old is tied down at the Bay Arena side until June 2025. Thus, the Bundesliga outfit seemingly have no obligation to part ways with the Holland national.
Frimpong has showcased his attacking prowess this season. The full-back has made 47 appearances in all competitions, finding the back of the net nine times and providing 11 assists.

For now, the Red Devils have Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in their ranks. Initially, Erik ten Hag preferred the Portuguese at the Old Trafford side and he was ever-present in our starting lineup before the 2022 World Cup.
However, over the last few months, the former Crystal Palace star has been handed regular opportunities in the team. It looks like the English national has pipped Dalot in the pecking order.
