Manchester United in ‘advanced talks’ with PSG superstar Neymar
Manchester United are in ‘advanced talks’ to acquire the services of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar Neymar ahead of next summer, according to L’Equipe via Get Football News France (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Red Devils have made contact with the Parisians about the prospect of getting a hold of the Brazil international’s signature in the upcoming transfer window.
There is a possibility that the 31-year-old could be available in the coming months. To that end, the Premier League has been suggested as one of the forward’s next destinations.
The Old Trafford side are making use of the connections they have with Neymar in the squad. Casemiro, the former Barcelona star’s compatriot, has been in touch with him regarding a move.
The 31-year-old made a name for himself in La Liga before PSG pounced on him. At the Parc des Princes side, the forward has been impressive season after season, scoring and assisting for fun.
However, injuries have hampered his time in the French capital. The Ligue 1 outfit have also been unable to get their hands on the most coveted trophy, the Champions League, despite the talent they possess up front.
At United, Marcus Rashford occupies the left wing. The England international has been our talisman in the current campaign. He has shouldered the burden of the Red Devils’ attack this season.
On the other hand, Bruno Ferndnandes is often deployed as a number 10. The Portugal international has been a pivotal player under Erik ten Hag at the Old Trafford side.
