PSG ready to bid €100 million to pip Manchester United to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are ready to bid €100 million to pip Manchester United to the signing of Napoli star Victor Osimhen, according to RMC Sport.
The Parisians are interested in the Nigeria international. Luis Campos, the sporting director of the Parc des Princes side, is in continuing talks with the 24-year-old’s agent in order to acquire his services.
However, the Partenopei want €150 million to part ways with the striker and are inflexible in their demand. As such, the Ligue 1 outfits offer will fall short of the Italian outfit’s expectations.
Also, the Red Devils have Osimhen on their radar. The Premier League is a destination that allures the Nigerian and may dictate his next move ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The 24-year-old has thrived at Napoli this season. The striker has made 36 appearances in all competitions for the Partenopei, scoring 28 goals and providing five assists.
Luciano Spalletti’s team have made history in the current campaign. The Naples-based club have secured the Serie A title after over three decades without one.
United’s attack has had Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as the only number nines for most of the season. Erik ten Hag has not been able to rely on the French national, though, due to his fitness issues.
As a result, the Burnley loanee has led the Red Devils’ line on several occasions over the last few months. But the Holland international has left a lot to be desired in front of goal for the Old Trafford side.

A new number nine should evidently be a priority for the Old Trafford side next summer. However, will PSG, who have the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messia and Neymar in their ranks, steal a march on us to get a hold of Osimhen? Only time will tell.
