Serie A giants AS Roma are ‘open’ to parting ways with Manchester United target Tammy Abraham in the upcoming transfer window, according to the Mirror.

The Italian outfit feel the England international’s most likely destination will be the Premier League. However, the striker is unlikely to go back to his former club Chelsea next summer.

Considering the 25-year-old’s price tag and wages, the Giallorossi believe any buyer for him will come from the English top flight. As things stand, the Red Devils and Aston Villa have been linked with the forward.

The Old Trafford side had recently sent scouts to keep an eye on Abraham. Next summer, the Manchester-based club will look to reinforce the attack with a new number nine.

At Roma, the English national enjoyed a stellar debut campaign. Under Jose Mourinho, the Italian outfit lifted the Europa Conference League title.

However, the 25-year-old has been underwhelming this season. He has made 47 appearances in all competitions for the Giallorossi, scoring just nine goals and providing seven assists.

United’s front line has relied on Marcus Rashford to find the back of the net on a consistent basis in the current campaign. Up front, Erik ten Hag has Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as his only two natural strikers.

Unfortunately, the French national has been on the sidelines for most of the season. On the other hand, the Burnley loanee has left a lot to be desired in the attacking third of the pitch for the Red Devils.

Therefore, we could seemingly do with a couple of players in the attack. However, it would be wise to avoid Abraham, who has looked short of confidence over the last few months, as our first choice number nine.
