Qataris eye PSG striker Kylian Mbappe and other French stars if Manchester United takeover successful
Sheikh Jassim, the face of the potential Qatari takeover of Manchester United, is eyeing a move for Kylian Mbappe and two other French superstars, according to SportBild’s Christian Falk on Twitter.
The Middle Eastern group are one of the parties in the running to acquire the Red Devils. If they are successful in their bid, the Paris Saint-Germain superstar will be targeted by the Old Trafford side.
Apart from the 24-year-old, his compatriots, Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman and Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga are also on the radar of the Qataris.
Under the Glazer family, United have seen themselves go backwards over the last decade. The departure of Sir Alex Ferguson has crumbled the Red Devils and brought the owners’ frailties to the fore.
Therefore, it is encouraging to see Sheikh Jassim and his group already planning to take the initiative if they are able to take charge of the Old Trafford side.
Mbappe is in the conversation of being one of the top five players in the world at the moment. The France international has been prolific in Ligue 1 for PSG season after season.
On the other hand, Coman is another quality player. The 26-year-old has been a part of various title-winning teams over the years.
Camavinga signed for Madrid in the summer of 2021 and won La Liga and the Champions League in his debut campaign. This season, the 20-year-old has developed further and has become a pivotal player for Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
