Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus dreams of Premier League move amidst Manchester United links
Mohammed Kudus, who plays for Ajax Amsterdam , has always had the “dream” of playing in the Premier League amidst links to Manchester United.
The Red Devils, along with Premier League rivals Arsenal, have been associated with acquiring the forward’s services. To that end, the Gahan international’s situation in the upcoming transfer window will be one to keep an eye on.
On CaughtOffside (h/t Manchester Evening News), transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed Kudus’ aspiration to feature in the English top flight. However, for now, there is nothing concrete in terms of the Old Trafford side’s pursuit of the attacker.
“It looks like an open situation for Mohammed Kudus, things could happen with him this summer. I’m not aware of anything concrete at this stage with Man United or Arsenal; but he always had the dream to play in Premier League so the situation will be one to watch in the summer.”
The 22-year-old signed for Ajax in the summer of 2020. He played under Erik ten hag for two years at the Amsterdam-based club. However, the Dutch manager mostly used the Ghanaian as a backup forward.
But in the current campaign, Kudus has become the Eredivisie champions’ talisman. He has led the Johan Cruyff Arena side’s front line admirably.
The Ghana international has found the back of the net 18 times and has provided five assists in 38 appearances in all competitions for Ajax this season. He also shone for the Black Stars in the 2022 World Cup.
United lack depth up top, with Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst the only natural strikers in the squad. As a result, we have seen Marcus Rasford lead the line on a number of occasions since Ten Hag’s arrival.
We have relied on the England international to find the back of the net this season. The 24-year-old has shouldered the burden of the Red Devils’ attack under the Dutch manager.

Kudus is a versatile player capable of playing as a centre-forward. The Ghanaian can also be deployed on the right wing. As things stand, the Old Trafford side could evidently do with more quality in the front line. But it remains to be seen whether Ten Hag will reunite with the 22-year-old in Manchester.
