Manchester United reluctant to get involved in ‘games’ with Daniel Levy for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane
Manchester United are reluctant to get involved in ‘games’ with Daniel Levy for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, according to Manchester Evening News.
Erik ten Hag wants the Red Devils to acquire the England international’s services. However, the Old Trafford side have no intention of being embroiled in lengthy negotiations with the Spurs chairman for the 29-year-old.
The North London side’s chief is known for dragging out deals for his players. In the summer of 2021, Premier League rivals Manchester City tried and failed in their attempt to get a hold of Kane.
In the 2014/15 season, the English skipper broke onto the scene at Tottenham. Now, he is their leading goalscorer in all competitions, beating the previous record of the legendary Jimmy Greaves. The striker also recently beat Wayne Rooney’s goalscoring record for the Three Lions.
Over the years, the 29-year-old has been the North London side’s most reliable outlet in front of goal. He has developed into a prolific superstar.
However, despite Kane being one of the best players in the world for some time now, titles have eluded him at Spurs. The Lilywhites are set to go another campaign without getting their hands on any silverware.
On the other hand, United broke their six-year trophy drought with the Carabao Cup win. Ten Hag also has us in the final of the FA Cup. We are also firmly in place to finish in the top four.
Unfortunately, the gaffer has been unable to trust his strikers. Anthony Martial has been on the sidelines for most of the season. As for Wout Weghorst, his contribution up front has been underwhelming since his arrival on loan in January.

Therefore, we could evidently do with a quality number nine in our ranks. However, it remains to be seen whether Levy will come to terms with the Old Trafford side without a fuss.
