Arsenal and Manchester United to battle for Galatasaray full-back Sacha Boey
Manchester United are set to battle Premier League rivals Arsenal for the signature of Galatasaray star Sacha Boey, according to Turkish Football (h/t The Sun).
The France U20 international has been linked with a move to the English top flight. To that end, the Red Devils and the Gunners are in pursuit to acquire his services.
Mikel Arteta’s team and the Old Trafford side are expected to be in the market for a new right-back next summer. However, the Manchester-based club are prepared to pip the North London side to the 22-year-old’s signing.
Apart from the two PL giants, Newcastle United also have the youngster on their radar. But the full-back who plays at the Turkish outfit is valued at around £17.5 million.
In the current campaign, Arsenal are flying high. The Gunners are at the top of the league table. Ben White has been their first-choice right-back this season. Arteta also has Takehiro Tomiyasu at his disposal. However, both of them are known more for their defensive capabilities rather than their attacking ones.
As for United, we have Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in our ranks. The Portuguese has been Erik ten Hag’s preferred option. As a result, the former Crystal Palace star has lost his place in the team and has been linked with a move away.
Who is Sacha Boey?
Boey made his way through the youth ranks at Stade Rennais. The 22-year-old made a few appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit before spending the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Dijon.
However, in the summer of 2021, Galatasaray came knocking for the full-back’s signature. Since then, the French national has put in some impressive displays, which has seen his stock rise.

It would not be a surprise to see Wan-Bissaka leave United next summer, considering that he has fallen down the pecking order under Ten Hag. In that case, having an option like Boey on the table is wise for the Red Devils.
