Manchester United have ‘concrete’ interest in Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani
Manchester United have ‘concrete’ interest in acquiring the services of Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani, according to German outlet Sport Bild (h/t The Sun).
At the moment, the Red Devils are leading the race to get hold of the France international’s signature. To that end, the Old Trafford side have already enquired about the forward.
However, the 24-year-old’s form has seen him attract the attention of several top teams. Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea also have the striker on their radar.
Spurs are eyeing Kolo Muani as well. The North London side see the French national as the perfect replacement for Harry Kane if he were to leave the Lilywhites.
However, Frankfurt will not let the 24-year-old go for cheap. The Bundesliga outfit want a fee in the region of £88 million to part ways with the striker.
One cannot blame Die Adler for placing that price tag on Kolo Muani. The 24-year-old is enjoying a stellar campaign in Germany after arriving on a free transfer and has also established himself in Didier Deschamps’ plans.
United’s front line consists of Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst. The former AS Monaco star has put in some mesmerising displays in the current campaign. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old has had several injury issues.
As a result, the Burnley loanee has provided cover in the absence of Martial since January. While the Holland international always works hard, he leaves a lot to be desired in front of goal.
