Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga dreams of Arsenal move amidst Manchester United interest
Gabri Veiga, who plays for Celta Vigo, wants to ‘fulfil the dream of signing for Arsenal’ amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Faro de Vigo (h/t The Sun).
The Gunners are the 20-year-old’s ‘favourite’ team. Along with his representatives, the midfielder is fond of Mikel Arteta’s project and the North London side’s focus on the youth.
However, apart from Arsenal and the Old Trafford side, other Premier League rivals also have Veiga on their radar. Manchester City and Newcastle United are also eyeing the Spain U21 international.

But the 20-year-old is also attracting interest from Italy, with Napoli looking to acquire his services. The Serie A giants are willing to activate the youngster’s £35.2 million release clause.
The playmaker has broken into Celta Vigo’s first team in the current campaign. He has made 25 appearances in La Liga, scoring nine goals and providing three assists.
At the moment, Martin Odegaard is performing exceptionally at Arsenal. The 24-year-old has been the Gunners’ creative outlet this season. Arteta’s team also signed Fabio Veira in the summer of 2022 from FC Porto. But the Portuguese has been a bit underwhelming for the North London side so far.
As for Man United, Bruno Fernandes has cemented his place in the number 10 position. The 28-year-old has been one of our best players over the years.
However, Veiga is also capable of playing in the number eight position. Christian Eriksen has been Erik ten Hag’s preferred option in the role when he has been available. The 20-year-old has the potential to act as an understudy for the Denmark international at the Old Trafford side.
