Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister’s father provides clarity on future amid Manchester United links
Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder and World Cup Winner Alexis Mac Allister’s father, Carlos, while speaking to ESPN (h/t Manchester Evening News) has clarified doubts over the uncertainty surrounding his son’s future.
Mac Allister’s stock rose massively after his World Cup heroics with Argentina and played a crucial part in their winning run.
Even before the tournament, the player was getting recognition for his performances with Brighton in the Premier League and currently, there are no shortage of suitors for the player.
That is, according to his father, who claims that many top clubs have shown interest in the player after the tournament but a decision will only be made after the season ends.
“Clubs are starting to call us for Alexis but there are no concrete talks now. We’ll decide together with Brighton, they deserve respect. We will pick the best project, based on the coach too — it’s not about money.”
It is good to see that players and their representatives are looking into the project rather than just the money involved, which is a crucial factor.
On the other hand, Erik ten Hag and the recruitment team will be looking for midfielders in the summer transfer window with a view to upgrading the position currently managed between Cristian Eriksen, Fred and Marcel Sabitzer.
Mac Allister, with proven Premier League experience and age on his side, could prove to be a shrewd signing for Ten Hag and make a dominant midfield pair alongside Casemiro.

Brighton are currently fighting for a place in Europe and with his contract set to expire in 2025, the Seagulls will hold their resistance in selling the prized asset and the player will definitely not come for cheap.
Now considering the fee, if that will be quoted in the summer, it could be something that gathers pace once the season is over but for now, it would be wrong to lay too much emphasis on it.
