Jarrad Branthwaite remains focussed on PSV Eindhoven amidst Manchester United links
PSV Eindhoven defender Jarrad Branthwaite, who is on loan from Premier League outfit Everton, is focussed on his football amidst links to Manchester United.
The centre-back has been in fine form recently for the Eredivisie outfit. As a result, along with the Red Devils, English top-flight rivals Liverpool are also eyeing him.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s team are also interested in making the England U21 international’s stay in the Netherlands permanent. Serie A giants AS Roma also have the 20-year-old on their radar.

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Branthwaite acknowledges the speculation surrounding his future. However, the youngster is just concentrating on playing week in, week out for now.
“I think when all of those clubs are interested and watching your games, it’s gonna be one of them where you take notice.
“But for me it’s just about playing the games. The first half of the season, I wasn’t playing as many as I wanted, but now I’m just fully focussed on doing that and performing the best I can.”
The English national signed for Everton from Carlisle United. Subsequently, for the second half of the 2020/21 season, the defender joined Blackburn Rovers on a temporary move.
In the previous campaign, the 20-year-old was handed a few first-team opportunities at the Goodison Park side. However, spent most of his time on the bench as the Toffees battled relegation.
Branthwaite seems to have found his feet at PSV, though. The English national has made 27 appearances in all competitions for the Red and Whites, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
For now, Erik ten Hag has a stacked backline. Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varae have been the gaffer’s preferred duo and the two have formed a steady partnership at United. However, that has relegated Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof to the bench.

Therefore, it would not come as a surprise if our captain or the former SL Benfica centre-back opted to leave the club for more game time. In that case, someone like Branthwaite seems like a decent prospect to consider bolstering the defence. The 20-year-old is young and has shown a lot of potential at PSV.
