Man United disappointed as Karim Benzema agrees verbal contract with Real Madrid
According to Daily Mail, Manchester United have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Real Madrid star Karim Benzema with the player agreeing a new deal verbally with Los Blancos.
As Manchester United continue their quest to find a world-class striker to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo, they have been dealt a blow with the news that Karim Benzema has agreed to extend his contract with Real Madrid until 2024.
Benzema has been a mainstay at the Bernabeu for the past fourteen years, and his contribution to the club cannot be overstated. The Frenchman’s career has been defined by his unrelenting work ethic, clinical finishing, and unparalleled ability to create chances for his teammates.
Manchester United, who have been linked with a move for Benzema in recent months, will no doubt be disappointed to miss out on such a world-class talent. The Red Devils have struggled to find a striker to lead the line.
Benzema’s extension with Real Madrid is a significant setback for United, who had hoped to secure the services of one of the world’s most lethal forwards. The Frenchman’s track record speaks for itself, with over 300 goals scored for Los Blancos in all competitions.
But while United fans may be disappointed to miss out on Benzema, it’s worth remembering that the club has a proud tradition of developing young talent. The likes of Marcus Rashford have really stepped up this campaign.
That being said, the hunt for a world-class striker will no doubt continue for United, as they look to build a team capable of challenging for the Premier League title and beyond. The club’s fans will no doubt be hoping to sign a genuine superstar.
