Jude Bellingham “focused” at Borussia Dortmund amidst Manchester United links
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has revealed that Jude Bellingham is “focused” at the club amidst links to Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag is open to the idea of acquiring the 19-year-old’s services in the coming future. In the past, before the England international moved to BVB, the Old Trafford side tried to sign him.
Apart from us, Premier League rivals Manchester City are also interested in the midfielder. He has a good relationship with the Sky Blues’ Erling Haaland, which could come into consideration.
Speaking to BT Sport (h/t Manchester Evening News), Kehl was adamant that Bellingham is contracted to the Bundesliga giants. He is happy that the midfielder is in the German outfit’s ranks.
“This is the big thing at the moment, of course. He still has a contract and he is very focused on football. He’s very focused on Borussia Dortmund and this team – we’re happy to have him.”
The 19-year-old made his way to Dortmund in the summer of 2020. Immediately, the youngster established himself in the Bundesliga giants’ first-team setup.
Subsequently, over the years, the England international has developed into one of the brightest prospects in the world. He was also a key player for the Three Lions in the 2022 World Cup.
Bellingham has thrived at BVB this season. However, in the second leg against Chelsea in the Champions League round of 16, the 19-year-old looked a bit underwhelming as the Germans were knocked out by the Blues.
United’s engine room was bolstered with the arrival of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in the summer of 2022. The Brazil and Denmark internationals have been impressive, although they are both 31.

However, we could evidently still do with a lot more quality in the middle of the park, considering how Liverpool dominated the midfield at Anfield recently. Bellingham is a player capable of being at the top for years to come. Hopefully, the Red Devils will be able to entice him to leave Dortmund in the coming months.
