Manchester United ‘ask’ to be kept informed on situation of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot
Manchester United have asked to be kept informed on the situation of Juventus star Adrien Rabiot ahead of next summer, according to 90min (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Red Devils tried to get a hold of the 27-year-old’s signature in the summer of 2022. However, a deal did not end up materialising. But the Old Trafford side could pursue him once again.
At the end of the season, the France international is set to become a free agent. His contract with the Old Lady expires in the coming months, but the Bianconeri are keen on extending the midfielder’s deal.
Apart from the Manchester-based club, other clubs in the Premier League also want to be well-informed about Rabiot. Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are keen on being kept in the loop regarding the 27-year-old.
The France international made his name at Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Turin in the summer of 2019 on a free transfer. Over the years, the midfielder has been a key player at the Serie A outfit.
However, in the current campaign, Juventus have struggled. Massimiliano Allegri’s team are currently seventh in Serie A. They were also unable to make it out of the group stages of the Champions League.
But Rabiot has still had a standout season. In 29 appearances in all competitions for the Bianconeri, he has found the back of the net seven times and has provided two assists. The 27-year-old also shone for France in the 2022 World Cup.
United ended up bolstering the middle of the park with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer. The duo have been pivotal to Erik ten Hag’s plans in the current campaign.
