Tottenham Hotspur want at least £100 million for Manchester United target Harry Kane
Tottenham Hotspur will demand at least £100 million for Manchester United target Harry Kane in the upcoming transfer window, according to Football Insider (h/t Manchester Evening News).
At the moment, the 29-year-old’s contract with the North London side expires in the summer of 2024. However, he has entered discussions with Spurs over a new deal.
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is certain of the England international staying. But if the striker did decide to leave the Lilywhites, they would want no less than a nine-figure fee to part ways with him.
Erik ten Hag likes Kane. The England international is one of the names on the Red Devils’ shortlist as one of the potential number nines to bolster the attack next summer.
Apart from the 29-year-old, the Old Trafford side are also eyeing Victor Osimhen of Napoli. The Dutch manager is also interested in Ajax youngster Mohammed Kudus and SL Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos.
Kane made his way through the youth ranks at Spurs and has been their most consistent goal-scorer since the 2014/15 season. He became the North London side’s all-time goalscorer recently, breaking Jimmy Greaves’ record.
The 29-year-old is also the captain of England. He has been the Three Lions’ main outlet over the years as well. Unfortunately, the forward does not have any trophies at the club or international level to go with his individual accolades.
United won the Carabao Cup last month after a six-year title drought. Erik ten Hag has managed to steady the ship at the Old Trafford side. However, looking at the 7-0 loss to Liverpool, we evidently have a lot more to do.
