The Red Devils have been linked with the 25-year-old a number of times. This season, the Old Trafford side have had scouts in attendance for the Giallorossi’s fixtures.

Next summer, Erik ten Hag is keen on adding a new number nine to the ranks. The Dutch manager is looking to make at least two significant signings at the end of the season, with a goalscorer prioritised.

Chelsea are also interested in the England international. The striker spent time with the Blues before moving to Rome. The Stamford Bridge side will be able to sign him for €80 million in July.

Abraham joined Roma in the summer of 2021. In his debut season, the 25-year-old thrived under Jose Mourinho and was prolific as the Serie A outfit lifted the UEFA Europa Conference League.

However, in the current campaign, the England international has not had the best of times in front of goal. He has found the back of the net just seven times in 34 appearances in all competitions for the Giallorossi.

Midway through the campaign, Cristiano Ronaldo made an untimely exit from United. As a result, Ten Hag was left with Anthony Martial as the only natural striker in the team. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old has been unavailable for a considerable period under the new gaffer due to fitness issues.

Therefore, in January, the Red Devils got Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley until the end of the season. The Holland international has featured heavily in recent weeks but has left a lot to be desired.

Thus, the Old Trafford side could evidently do with more quality up top. But it remains to be seen whether Abraham is the one who the club will pursue in the coming months.
