Manchester United ‘believe they can still convince’ West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice to move to the Old Trafford side, according to Football Insider (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The 24-year-old is expected to leave the Red Devils in the upcoming transfer window. He has expressed a desire to play in the Champions League.
In the Premier League, apart from us, several other teams are interested in the midfielder. Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool are also eyeing the England international’s signature.
Rice is ‘dead set on a move‘ away from the Hammers. As a result, Man United are ‘hopeful’ of prising the 24-year-old away from the East London-based club. The Irons’ manager David Moyes values the midfielder at around £150 million.
The Red Devils ‘hope to blow’ the Gunners out of the water in pursuit of the England international. However, it remains to be seen whether the Old Trafford side will get the midfielder as he wishes to remain in London.
Rice joined West Ham’s youth side at a young age, having left Chelsea. Subsequently, the 24-year-old made his way through the ranks with the Hammers and then established himself in the senior squad.
