Celta Vigo playmaker Gabri Veiga attracting ‘interest’ from Manchester United and Arsenal
Manchester United, alongside Premier League rivals Arsenal, have expressed ‘interest’ in Celta Vigo playmaker Gabri Veiga, according to AS via The Sun (h/t Manchester Evening News).
Apart from the two English top-flight teams, Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are also eyeing the 20-year-old. As a result, Os Celestes are confident of securing a record deal for the Spain U21 international.
Veiga made his way through the youth ranks at Celta. In the current campaign, the youngster has broken into the Galicia-based club’s senior squad.

The 20-year-old has become a key player for Carlos Carvalhal’s team in recent months. This season, the midfielder has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Os Celestes, scoring eight goals and providing three assists.
Arsenal are currently flying high in the league. They sit at the top of the table, five points ahead of second-place Manchester City. Mikel Arteta has counted on Martin Odegaard for the majority of the season to play in the number 10 position.
Apart from the Norway international, the Gunners also have Fabio Vieira. The Portuguese was signed by the North London side in the summer of 2022 and he mainly plays behind the striker.
As for United, Bruno Fernandes has been ever-present since arriving from Sporting CP. The 28-year-old has been a key player under Erik ten Hag as well.
In recent weeks, the Portugal international has been shifted to the right, with Wout Weghorst and Jadon Sancho being developed in the playmaking role. The change of tactic by the gaffer has managed to bring the best out of the team.
