The Red Devils are amongst the several top clubs ‘lining up’ for the signature of the 19-year-old. Along with the Old Trafford side, Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool are the ‘primary contenders’ to acquire the midfielder’s services.
European giants Real Madrid are also in the running for the England international. However, the German outfit have set a massive price tag on him.
Bellingham made his way to BVB in the summer of 2020 from Birmingham City. The 19-year-old quickly established himself in the Signal Iduna Park side’s starting lineup.
Since then, the midfielder has developed into a fine player and has grown from strength to strength. The England international has also been handed the captain’s armband on a few occasions by Edin Terzic.
Bellingham was also a key payer for the Three Lions in Qatar. The 19-year-old scored his first goal for England in the 6-2 win over Iran in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup. Subsequently, the midfielder put in impressive performances for Gareth Southgate’s team.
At United, the arrival of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen has bolstered the middle of the park. The Brazilian has put in Man of the Match performances week in, week out. On the other hand, the former Tottenham Hotspur star has surprised many with his displays.
Other options at Erik ten Hag’s disposal include Fred, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek. In January, the Red Devils also brought Marcel Sabitzer on loan.
