Real Madrid accept Manchester United-linked Jude Bellingham moving to Premier League
Spanish giants Real Madrid have “resigned to the fact” that Borussia Dortmund star and Manchester United-linked Jude Bellingham will join the Premier League, according to The Athletic (Subscription Required) [h/t The Sun].
The 19-year-old is in demand at the moment after his performances at the 2022 World Cup. In the English top flight, along with the Red Devils, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have been associated with the midfielder’s signature.
Los Blancos are also heavily interested in acquiring the England international’s services. However, the La Liga outfit believe they cannot match the financial prowess of the PL.
But Madrid will still try to entice Bellingham to join them. However, they accept that their financial package will not be able to match those of the English top flight.
At the moment, Liverpool and City are “pushing hard” to get a hold of the 19-year-old. However, BV are also keen to keep a hold of him. However, the Bundesliga giants know that clubs from England are “in pole position” for the midfielder.
The England international signed for Dortmund in the summer of 2020 from Birmingham City. His current contract with the German club expires at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Madrid have a lot of youngsters in the middle of the park. They signed Aurelien Tchouameni recently. Carlo Ancelotti also has Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde at his disposal. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are the veterans in Los Blancos’ midfield.
As for United, we signed Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in the summer of 2022. While the two have been key players for Erik ten Hag in the current campaign, they will turn 31 this month.

Our other options, like Fred and McTominay, have been unable to cement their place in the team over the years. Therefore, the Old Trafford side evidently require fresh blood in the engine room. Will Bellingham be the one to rejuvenate our midfield ranks? Only time will tell.
