Real Madrid refuse Federico Valverde negotiations despite €80 million offer from Manchester United
Florentino Perez, the president of Los Blancos, is not looking to negotiate the Uruguay international’s departure. As a result, he rejected the Red Devils’ approach for the midfielder.
After missing out on Frenkie de Jong last summer, the Old Trafford side turned their attention to Valverde. However, despite the Manchester-based club’s best efforts, a deal could not be materialised.
United were looking to try their luck once again with a big offer, but their bid was considered insufficient. Madrid are not keen on parting ways with the 24-year-old. Only a massive proposal would make the Spanish outfit contemplate a departure.
On top of that, the Uruguay international has no intention of leaving the La Liga giants. The midfielder is happy in Carlo Ancelotti’s team at the moment. His current contract at Los Blancos expires in the summer of 2027.
It looks like United will have to try their luck elsewhere. We already raided Madrid in the last summer transfer window and signed Casemiro. The Brazil international has become a key player for us.
Since the 30-year-old’s first start in the Premier League against Everton, he has put in impressive performances week in, week out.
Alongside the defensive midfielder, Christian Eriksen has also been pivotal to Erik ten Hag’s plans in Manchester. The Denmark international has surprised many with his displays.

Valverde is one of the biggest talents in Spain. While the midfielder has not been at his best in recent weeks, the Uruguayan is one of the best players in the world on his day. However, it does not look like Madrid will let the Red Devils get a hold of the 24-year-old easily.
