Manchester United were offered Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez and free agent Isco before turning their attention to Bayern Munich star Marcel Sabitzer, according to Sky Sports News on Twitter (h/t Sports Mole).

Apart from the two Spaniards, the Manchester-based club were also given a chance to get a hold of Houssem Aouar. The France international’s current contract with Olympique Lyon expires at the end of the season.

Christian Eriksen was recently injured against Reading in the FA Cup in our last match. The Denmark international will be out for a considerable period, which forced the Red Devils’ hand on deadline day.

United were also presented with Yannick Carrasco’s signature. The Belgium international has played a key role in Diego Simeone’s team. However, he has not been prolific in the final third this term.

However, the Red Devils have gotten a deal for Sabitzer over the line. The Austria international’s addition will be key, considering the injury issues we have in the engine room.
