Harry Maguire rejects Inter Milan loan move; will ‘consider’ Manchester United summer exit
Manchester United star Harry Maguire has rejected a loan move to Inter Milan in the final hours of the ongoing transfer window. But the centre-back will ‘consider’ an exit in the summer of 2023, according to the Daily Star.
The 29-year-old has lost his place in the Red Devils’ starting lineup this season. If his situation under Erik ten Hag does not change, then the defender will look for pastures new.
In the upcoming transfer window, the Nerazzurri will once again have the England international on their radar. He is not keen on being a bit-part player at the Old Trafford side.

However, for now, Erik ten Hag is keen on keeping hold of Maguire. The Dutch manager also does not want to lose Victor Lindelof and wants to keep the depth in the defence intact, considering we are still alive in all four competitions.
The 29-year-old signed for United in the summer of 2019 from Leicester City. Subsequently, after a few months, the centre-back was handed the captain’s armband.
During his time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the England international was one of the first names on the team sheet. But in the previous campaign, the defender struggled in the backline.
With the arrival of Ten Hag, the Red Devils signed Lisandro Martinez from Ajax in the summer of 2022 to bolster the defence. The Argentine has been an ever-present in the Dutch manager’s plans alongside Raphael Varane.
In recent weeks, even Luke Shaw has played as a centre-back ahead of Maguire. The former Southampton star has done a decent job when called upon.
