Crystal Palace to ‘target’ Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka in summer of 2023
Crystal Palace will ‘target’ and look to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United in the upcoming transfer window, according to The Sun (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Selhurst Park side this month. However, the England U21 international’s former club will look to re-sign him in the summer of 2023.
Palace do not have the funds at the moment to acquire Wan-Bissaka’s services in January. Therefore, Patrick Vieira’s team will wait until pre-season to get a hold of the 25-year-old’s signature.
The England U21 international joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2019 from the Eagles. He had impressed many during his time at the Selhurst Park side.
However, the right-back has found life difficult in Manchester in recent months. Initially, he was a regular under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Nut Diogo Dalot has been Erik ten Hag’s preferred choice.
The Portugal international was given an opportunity by Ralf Rangnick in the previous campaign. Since then, the 23-year-old has cemented his place in the team.
In the current campaign, the former FC Porto star has started a majority of the fixtures. He has been one of our best players this season. In 23 appearances this term, the right-back has scored a goal and has provided two assists.
But in the last few weeks, Wan-Bissaka has been handed chances by the Dutch manager with Dalot being on the sidelines. The 25-year-old has deputised admirably for the Portuguese.

However, the 23-year-old seems to be ahead of the former Palace star in the pecking order. Therefore, it would not come as a surprise if the England U21 international decided to leave the club next summer. But it remains to be seen whether the Eagles will take him back in the coming months.
