Juventus forward and Italy international Federico Chiesa of interest to Manchester United
The Red Devils are even willing to match the Old Lady’s asking price of €100 million for the 25-year-old. However, it remains to be seen whether Erik ten Hag will opt to bring the forward to the Old Trafford side.
At the moment, the Dutch manager already has Antony and Jadon Sancho at his disposal. We just spent big money to buy the Brazilian from Ajax in the previous transfer window. The 22-year-old has made the right wing his own.
Chiesa also mostly plays on the right-hand side of the attack Therefore, it looks unlikely that the Italian will be pursued by the Red Devils. The arrival of a number nine seems to be on the cards.
The 25-year-old joined Juventus in the summer of 2020 from Fiorentina. In his debut season for the Bianconeri, the forward caught a lot of people’s eyes.
However, injuries in the 2021/22 campaign saw Chiesa miss most of the season. He only recently returned for the Serie A giants and is still finding his bearings.
United have some talented wingers at their disposal. Marcus Rashford has been the standout this term, shouldering the team’s attack. Erik ten Hag can also call upon Sancho and Antony. Youngsters like Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Elanga have also been given opportunities.
The Argentine youngster has especially shone under the Dutch manager. However, what the Red Devils are seemingly missing is a striker. Anthony Martial has had a hard time with fitness issues in the current campaign, while Wout Weghorst is at the club on loan until the end of the season.

Therefore, buying a number nine seems to be a priority. Considering Chiesa has just been back after a long-term injury, it would be wise to wait a bit before making a move for him.
