Erik ten Hag feels Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford “unstoppable” when in form

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag feels Marcus Rashford is unstoppable when the forward is in the right space of mind. The 25-year-old has been pivotal for the Red Devils this season.

The England international has been in fine form in the current campaign. Since returning from the 2022 World Cup, the forward has been electric for us.

United took on Nottingham Forest in the first leg of the semi-final in the Carabao Cup at the City Ground. We ended up winning 3-0, with Rashford getting on the scoresheet with a brilliant goal after a solo run.

The 25-year-old has now scored 10 goals in the Red Devils’ last 10 matches in all competitions. After a disappointing last season, thankfully, the England international has returned to his best.

Wout Weghorst also scored his first goal for the Old Trafford side against the Tricky Trees. Bruno Fernandes rounded out the win with a late goal in the second half of the game.

Speaking after the victory via the club’s official website, Ten Hag hailed Rashford for his recent displays. The Dutch manager is of the opinion that the 25-year-old can continue in a similar vein.

“Once again, he is actually unstoppable when he is in this mood, when he is in this spirit, in this focus. But [he can] keep going when he keeps this focus.”

After the England international’s goal in the opening minutes of the fixture, Forest had a few chances on the break. They also found the back of the net, but it was disallowed by VAR for offside.

Steve Cooper’s team gave us a good fight until the end. However, we managed to keep a hold of the result. We now have one foot in the final after beating the West Bridgford side comfortably.
