Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag talks about facing Arsenal without Casemiro
Speaking to the club media as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Erik ten Hag talks about facing Arsenal without Casemiro and believes his team have enough quality even without the Brazilian.
It is a reflection of how good the former Real Madrid man has been since his move to Old Trafford that there is so much talk about the fact that he will miss the clash against the league leaders. It also shows that Man United are very dependent on Casemiro.
There were question marks over the signing of Casemiro in the summer. There was a bit of apprehension over whether or not he could adapt to the Premier League and his advancing age was expected to be a concern.
Casemiro has been directly involved in four goals in his last five games at Old Trafford:

However, the Brazilian holding midfielder has been one of the best signings in the entire league this season. Erik ten Hag has transformed the entire Man United team but Casemiro has been the key exponent of his project.
Manchester United as a team have improved really well this season. The Red Devils are in a position where they can even mount a late title challenge. For that though, the first step would be to beat Arsenal tonight.
Here is what Erik ten Hag had to say about lining up against Arsenal and how they plan on beating Mikel Arteta’s team
“I think we have good squad, a competing squad. As you know, Casemiro is absent, but for the rest, we have a good team who has to battle with Arsenal”

The Dutch tactician is pretty confident about his side’s chances without Casemiro and it comes as no surprise. After all, his side minus the Brazilian happens to be the only one to have gotten a win against Arsenal in the Premier League to date.
The 30-year-old midfielder has been one of Man United’s best players this season. In his absence, the entire team will have to step up to make up for the void left by the talented Brazilian. Let’s see how it goes.
It is likely that one of Scott McTominay or Fred is going to fill in that role. The duo are nowhere near the class of Casemiro but the likes of Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes can help them out in this regard.
