Celtic want £17 million for Croatia full-back Josip Juranovic amidst Manchester United links
Manchester United will have to pay £17 million to Celtic to secure the services of Croatia full-back Josip Juranovic who starred at the 2022 World Cup, according to Sportske Novosti (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford side after his impressive displays in Qatar. Zlatko Dalic’s men made it to the semi-finals, where they lost to eventual champions Argentina.
However, the Vatreni did manage to secure third place after beating Morocco 2-1. The right-back played every minute at the prestigious tournament for his nation except the fixture against the Atlas Lions.

Premier League rivals Chelsea are also keeping tabs on Juranovic. The Blues currently have one of the best full-backs in Reece James. But the England international has had his injury issues over the years. Veteran Cesar Azpilicueta is currently backing up the 23-year-old at the Stamford Bridge side.
Barcelona are also being associated with the 27-year-old’s signature. Jules Kounde has played as a make-shift right-back on several occasions for Xavi. The Spanish manager also has Sergi Roberto and Hector Bellering at his disposal.
As for United, Diogo Dalot has started in all but one game for Erik ten Hag. The 23-year-old has pipped Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the pecking order. The former Crystal Palace star got his first start of the season in our previous fixture against Burnley in the Carabao Cup.

Juranovic joined Celtic in the summer of 2021 from Polish outfit Legia Warszawa. The Croatian has impressed in his time with the Scottish giants.
In the current campaign, the 27-year-old has made 15 appearances for the Glasgow-based club in all competitions. He has found the back of the net once and has provided one assist.

The Red Devils cannot expect Dalot to start in every match for the rest of the season. Thus, if Wan-Bissaka parts ways with the club, it would be wise to pursue someone like Juranovic to bolster our squad.
