Manchester United interested in Fiorentina and Morocco midfielder Sofyan Amrabat
Manchester United are interested in the signature of Fiorentina and Morocco star Sofyan Amrabat after his performances at the 2022 World Cup, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Red Devils are looking to add reinforcements to the middle of the park. As a result, the Old Trafford side are eyeing the 26-year-old, who has caught a lot of people’s eyes with his displays in Qatar.
The defensive midfielder is attracting attention from other sides in the Premier League as well. North West derby Liverpool are keeping tabs on him.
Amrabat’s Morocco made it to the semi-finals at the prestigious tournament in the Middle East. However, France proved too much for the Atlas Lions in the end.
The 26-year-old moved to Fiorentina in the summer of 2020. During his time with the Serie A outfit, the defensive midfielder has been a regular first-team player for the Viola.
Amrabat has once again been pivotal at Fiorentina in the current campaign. This season, the Moroccan has made 20 appearances for the Italian side in all competitions.
In the recent transfer window, United signed Casemiro to bolster the middle of the park. The Brazilian has been great since his arrival from Real Madrid. He has made the Red Devils more robust in the engine room.
The Old Trafford side also signed Christian Eriksen in the recent transfer window. He has surprised many. The Denmark international has become a key player for Erik ten Hag in the Manchester-based club.
