Chelsea open to exit of the United States star Christian Pulisic in January amidst Manchester United loan interest
Manchester United are willing to bring Chelsea and the United States star Christian Pulisic to the club on loan, according to ESPN. The Blues are anticipated to allow the forward to leave the Stamford Bridge side in the winter transfer window.
The Old Trafford side, Newcastle United and Arsenal have been informed about the 24-year-old’s availability. Now, the player’s representatives are searching for a new destination for the client.
United do not have plans to spend big in January. However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s untimely exit has left the club needing a replacement for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Pulisic is someone who has caught the Red Devils’ eyes. His versatility makes him a compelling option for the Old Trafford side. But it remains to be seen whether the club will make a move for the forward.
The USMNT star made his way to Chelsea in the summer of 2019 from Borussia Dortmund. Since then, the 24-year-old has failed to cement his place in the Blues’ starting lineup.
Currently, Pulisic is with his national side in Qatar. The forward has played every minute for Gregg Berhalter’s team in Group B at the World Cup. After the draws in the first two fixtures, the Stars and Stripes need a win to guarantee qualification to the next round.
Man United’s options up top at the moment include Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. The England international has played the majority of the season as our number nine and has been decent.
Unfortunately, Erik ten Hag has been unable to rely on Anthony Martial due to his injuries. The French national has struggled with his fitness this season.
