Transfer News: Manchester to let right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to leave on loan in January
Manchester United will allow right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to leave on loan in January, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg via Twitter.
The 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the club with Portuguese international Diogo Dalot pipping him for a place in the starting eleven.
Wan-Bissaka has only featured once for the club this season, coming off the bench at the end during our 2-1 win against Liverpool back in August.
Since then, the 25-year-old has also been left out of the match-day squad. It is clear that the right-back is nowhere near Erik ten Hag’s plan going forward.
He joined us in 2019 from Crystal Palace for £50 million. At Selhurst Park, the defender excelled prompting the Red Devils to make a move for him. He was a regular under Ole Gunner Solskjaer, but since his departure, he too has fallen down the pecking order.
It will be wise for the right-back to ply his trade elsewhere. A loan will present him with such an opportunity and also allow him to showcase his talent to Ten Hag. Maybe a good spell will help him in making a comeback to the team.
Palace are believed to be interested in bringing their former defender back and maybe it will be good for the 25-year-old to go back there where he enjoyed success on the pitch.
As for United, they will be wise to back Ten Hag to sign in another right-back in winter. While Dalot is looking like the first choice going forward, the congested fixtures will need the Portuguese to get some rest.

It remains to be seen who, if any, will the Red Devils bring in during the winter transfer window. Should Wan-Bissaka leave, it will leave Dalot as the only right-back in the team and the 23-year-old will need all the help that he can.
