Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have been ruled out as a potential destination for Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo, according to CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs on Twitter via Sports Mole (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The 37-year-old’s bombshell interview with Piers Morgan has made his future with the Red Devils uncertain. A number of clubs have been linked with acquiring the forward’s signature. However, the Parisians have ‘no interest’ in making a move for the Portugal international.

Ronaldo has evidently found life difficult in Manchester this season under Erik ten Hag. The Portugal international has seemingly lost the influence he had in the previous campaign.

The 37-year-old has been relegated to a substitute role by the Dutch manager. He has been unable to get regular minutes on the pitch. As a result, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s goal contributions have also dried up this term.

In the 2021/22 season, Ronaldo was United’s leading goalscorer in all competitions. Moreover, he was one of the few players who performed well for the club in the previous campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked by the Red Devils in November last year after a poor start to last season. Ralf Rangnick was given the reigns of the team on an interim basis. However, in the end, the Old Trafford side failed to challenge for titles and missed out on the top four in the Premier League.

While the Portuguese icon was a shining light in the previous campaign, he has looked like a dark cloud for us this term. The 37-year-old’s attitude has not helped United or Ten Hag.

Ronaldo refused to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur and proceeded to walk down the tunnel before the full-time whistle. And he was consequently suspended for the Chelsea fixture.

The latest infraction has seemingly signalled the end of his road in Manchester. However, it remains to be seen which club opts to sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in January.
