Norwich City right-back Max Aarons would welcome a move to Manchester United
Max Aarons, who is currently at Norwich City, would welcome a move to Manchester United to showcase his talents, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke on GiveMeSport (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The 22-year-old has been linked with a £15 million move to the Red Devils. And the defender would cherish the opportunity to play on a bigger stage.
Aarons has come up through the youth ranks at the Norfolk-based club. He has established himself as the first-choice in the Canaries’ starting lineup over the years.
The England U21 international is currently playing in the Championship. This season, he has made 22 appearances for Dean Smith’s team in all competitions, scoring one goal.
The 22-year-old also has Premier League experience under his belt. During Norwich’s stint in the English top flight in the 2019/20 and 2021/22 campaigns, the youngster was a key member of their team.
This season, United have relied on Diogo Dalot to be a consistent fixture in the starting lineup at right-back. The Portugal international has been the preferred choice for Erik ten Hag.
The 23-year-old has started all but one game for the Red Devils in the current campaign. He has pipped Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the pecking order at the Old Trafford side.
The former Crystal Palace star played regularly under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, since the Norwegian’s departure, Dalot has cemented his place in the team. The England U21 international has played just four minutes of competitive football under the Dutch manager this term.

It seems Wan-Bissaka is not fancied by the gaffer. Thus, it would be wise for the club to invest in a backup for the right-back position. Considering how congested the current campaign has been due to the World Cup, reinforcements in January are seemingly imperative.
